Talent Hack was a tech startup focused on connecting fitness and wellness professionals with their audiences through a digital platform during the pandemic, a time when most fitness studios faced operational restrictions.

How might we create a dashboard experience that highlights key features and new offerings, ensuring users can quickly find what’s most valuable to them?

This was the previous live version of the Talent Dashboard. It functioned more like a content feed than a true dashboard, making it difficult for talents (as professionals were referred to) to locate key tools and functionalities. As a result, users began requesting a more intuitive navigation experience.

Talent Hack’s Customer Success team maintained close relationships with users, but there was no shared definition of who those users were. I led qualitative research (interviews to agents and customers) and an empathy mapping workshop with key stakeholders to define and align on the company’s core user personas.

By mapping users’ goals against their experience pain points, I was able to identify the essential elements of their journey — the must-haves and non-negotiables needed to create a smoother, more intuitive experience.
